CJP should think twice before giving warning of nationwide stir, accuses Centre of backtracking on FIR promise

If another nationwide agitation is being contemplated, those behind it should understand one thing: India today is not the same playing field it was a few years ago.
Technology has changed dramatically. AI-assisted analysis, digital evidence, social-media monitoring, independent journalism, and a much more alert public make it considerably harder to manufacture a narrative through paid publicity, selective media coverage, or organized online campaigns.
This isn’t about blindly supporting one political party. Many Indians may disagree with their government while still refusing to support anything that deliberately damages India’s reputation, stability or interests.
India has traditionally welcomed guests, different opinions, communities and movements. But hospitality should never be mistaken for weakness. Legitimate democratic dissent is welcome; deliberate destruction, intimidation, misinformation or attempts to destabilize society should face lawful accountability.
If anyone believes India can still be manipulated through money, publicity or manufactured outrage, they may be seriously underestimating how much the country has changed.
Dissent is democratic. Accountability is democratic too.
