US govt may soon increase H-1B and L-1 visas fees for large companies

The US government plans to expand an additional fee for certain visa petitions. This fee currently applies to initial H-1B and L-1 visa grants. The proposed change will extend this charge to petitions for extensions of stay. Companies with over fifty employees and a majority on these visas will be affected. This expansion aims to fund biometric entry-exit systems and other government programs.
